This Jewish scholar sees the original Exodus – the departure from Egypt and slavery by God’s people – as a model or pattern for how God repeatedly works.
The New Testament seems to confirm this. As you saw on Sunday, the soon-to-come death and resurrection of Jesus was described as the exodus that He would accomplish.
As a Jesus-follower, can you see it in your own life? From what slavery and futile ways of living have you been set free? What have you left behind? What does being transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light look like in your experience?
Share your story with another, maybe when you meet in one of the church’s small groups.
