Good News People, and you are invited

From Sunday 20th September we are starting a new series called Good News People, and we are reading the book of the same name together as a church.
It works like this. We hear it preached on a Sunday, we read a chapter during the week, and then we get together in small groups to talk it over. Six weeks, six themes, starting with what we actually believe and moving through being brave and kind, staying relevant without selling out, being hopeful and realistic, decisions and discipleship, and being united and diverse.
Every one of us is a Good News Person, but the book is called Good News People, because living out God's good news happens together.
Groups run through the week from the week beginning Sun 20th Sep. There are groups on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday morning. Most meet at the church building, some meet online, and one meets in a home. In person groups run about an hour and a half, online groups about an hour.
You do not need to have read the book, and you do not need to be a great reader. Every session starts with a short video introducing the theme for that week, so there is always a way in, and nobody is asked to read out loud.
The book is Good News People by Gavin Calver and Phil Knox. There is also a podcast, six episodes, one for each of our six weeks, along with videos and other resources at goodnewspeople.church.
If you need more details get in touch and we'll help you out.
